- 1pintcherry tomatoes, halved

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a large baking dish with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil.

In a large skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized and golden brown, about 10 minutes.

Arrange the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish. Top each fillet with the caramelized onions, followed by the halved cherry tomatoes.
