In a bowl, combine the soy sauce and tamarind paste. Set aside.

Heat a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and the broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is crisp-tender. Remove the broccoli from the wok and set aside.
